Great War Memorial
November 2018 marked 100 years since the end of the Great War and throughout the country we have witnessed many different ways of commemorating the passing of the event.
A group of our Year 8 children embarked upon an enrichment project with Miss Jones, inspired by Mr Swinney's humanities homework, which would eventually culminate in a permanent commemorative display in the school grounds in memory of the last 100 years and the many years of remembrance ahead of us.
A special place was chosen, situated at the main entrance of the school and sheltered beneath a cherry tree for all too see.
