CMS Secures Best Possible Outcome From One Day Ofsted Inspection

We are delighted to be able to share our Ofsted report with you. As we were previously recognised by Ofsted as being a ‘good’ school, this was a one day short inspection. There are 4 possible outcomes:
- Outcome 1 – the school continues to be a good school.
- Outcome 2 – the school remains good and there is sufficient evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school may be judged outstanding if it received a Section 5 two day inspection now.
- Outcome 3 – the lead inspector is not satisfied that the school would receive at least its current grade if a section 5 inspection were carried out now.
- Outcome 4 – the lead inspector has gathered evidence that suggests the school may be inadequate in one or more of the graded judgements under section 5 inspections.

Outcomes of Consultation on Education in the West of Northumberland
Fantastic news - The report on the Education in the West by Andy Johnson has been released and is attached below. I am delighted that we are being listened to and that this report proposes that Corbridge Middle School stays open within a 3-tier system across the Hexham partnership. We look forward to continuing to work together with colleagues across the partnership to provide the very best educational experience we can for all our children. We will be in touch again when we have had time to consider the report and its potential implications fully.
Thank you so much for all your support throughout the consultations - it really is appreciated.
