Sponsored Walk Raises Over £2300
Despite some ominous looking clouds, the weather held last Friday afternoon for our annual sponsored walk. Each lap was approximately half a mile around the school grounds and the children did so well, a few managing more than 10 miles! Find out more...
Consultation on Admission Arrangements
All schools must have admission arrangements that set out clearly how children will be admitted to schools. Consultation is now open on Northumberland County Council's proposed Admission Arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools for entry into Reception and transfers to middle and secondary school in September 2018. Summer News 2015-16
On Monday 18th July at 2pm We will be holding our first Summer Fayre. The fayre will be run by our PTA, along with the children who will be putting on a variety of stalls and games. You are very welcome to come along and join us for an afternoon of fun! Please encourage your child to bring along their pocket money so they can have a go on the stalls and support the PTA.

Autumn News 2015-16
This term, Year 7 have been looking at portraits and faces in their art lessons. On Friday 16th October a caricature artist will visit Corbridge Middle School to hold 'workshops' with pupils in their art classes. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to see an artist at work and experience an enjoyable style of drawing.

Journey to Justice
We are very proud of the Corbridge Middle School tradition of musical shows. We believe that these are more than “just a show”. They offer a large number of pupils on the stage; in design and props; on lights and on sound; a chance to work hard together with staff, as a team, to create something special. Pupils visit newsroom
Youngsters from Corbridge Middle School have become journalists as part of a newsletter project. Groups of pupils have visited the Hexham Courant newsroom as part of the project, gaining an insight into the newspaper and its activities, as well as having question and answer sessions with editor Colin Tapping and senior staff member Myles Hodnett.
Curriculum enrichment is high on our agenda here at Corbridge Middle School. We strive to enrich our student’s education by drawing upon the combination of talents and interests of staff within our school and using the talents and experiences of others from outside of the school. Find out more …

A large number of children have taken part in our school Art competition to create a poster. The theme of the competition is Peace, love and understanding. Sport Relief 2014
On Friday 21st March the school participated in activities for Sports Relief Day and raised a total of £435. The children came to school in fancy dress, much of which was sports themed. We held a Fun Run for the whole school on our athletics field which was preceded by a very vigorous warm up led by our visiting dance teacher. The children took part with great enthusiasm, many of them completing up to 16 or 17 laps!
Wear a Hat Day
The children enjoyed taking part in “Wear a Hat Day” in aid of Brain Tumour Research on Friday 28th March. Some of the children also entered a competition to design a hat on the theme of a book. Find out more ...

Safer Internet Day
We are joining hundreds of other organisations across the UK in celebrating Safer Internet Day and promoting the safe and responsible use of Technology. Safer Internet Day 2014 is on Tuesday 11th February 2014, with the theme ‘Let’s create a better internet together’, offering the opportunity to focus on both the creative things that children and young people are doing online, as well as the role that we all play in helping to create a better internet. Children and staff took part in fundraising for children in Need on Friday15th November. The school arranged a Cake Bake sale with many volunteer bakers from all year groups, demonstrating their creativity and providing us with sweet delights during morning break. Find out more ...
PTA Christmas Fayre
Thanks and congratulations to our PTA for a very successful and enjoyable Christmas Fayre this year. Ann Fraser the new PTA chair would like to thank you all for your generosity. The fayre has raised in the region of £2,500 which is greatly appreciated by the school.

All children started following a revised curriculum of football and hockey in the first half term. They also made a start on fitness and rugby (contact Y7 & Y8, tag and touch for Y5&6). At the start of the Autumn term each class was given the opportunity to vote on the sports that they would prefer to take part in after Christmas. Find out more...

Charity Cake Bake Sale
Well done to Sophie Forster in Year 6 for organising a charity fundraising event on 16th June 2013. With help from our 'resident' baking squad, we were able to raise £87.35 for the diabetes charity at the RVI. Well done to all those involved, especially our bakers and of course, Sophie Foster for organising the event.

Grease the musical
Our school production took place this year on 3rd, 4th and 5th of July. It was a showcase of talents in music, dance and drama and was thoroughly enjoyed by the sell out audience each evening. Made in Corbridge
Year 8 have been working on a joint DT & ICT project called 'Made in Corbridge'. The project required students to undertake a range of tasks: design and make a product, create a web page, model the costs ad much more. Link currently disabled as we begin new projects for Year 8 in 2013-14.
Safer Internet Day 2013
Safer Internet Day 2013 will be the tenth edition of the event, and will take place on Tuesday 5 February 2013. The theme for the day is 'Online rights and responsibilities', when we will encourage users to 'Connect with respect'. The event will be launched in our whole-school assembly by Mrs Henderson.
