A warm hello from the Head Teacher![]() Welcome to Corbridge Middle School!
I hope our website provides you with a flavour of our school and an insight into our core values and beliefs. Corbridge Middle is a very happy, vibrant community where pupils and teachers embrace working together. We have a strong ethos based on core values of Care, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Pride, which are the soul of the school and guide us in continually developing the already outstanding work we are doing here. Through these values, our pupils gain the confidence to take their place in society and develop the skills and attitudes to enable them to succeed in their chosen paths. I am privileged to lead an exceptional team of very dedicated staff who strive to ensure that everyone achieves their very best. We recognise that the gift of learning is a shared, life-long process, firmly rooted in positive, respectful relationships and practice a relational approach, which we believe is central to the wellbeing of both pupils and staff and underpins an effective learning environment. We have high expectations of our pupils and staff and, together with governors, set exceptional standards in both academic learning and our behaviours. We take great pride in our friendly, inclusive learning community and recognise, and understand, that children have many abilities, talents and personalities. We know that each pupil is brilliantly different and that they learn in a multitude of ways. Our aim is to develop these attributes, raise their expectations and provide the support and challenge that is necessary for lifelong success in today’s rapidly changing world. Corbridge Middle is a genuinely, remarkable school with outstanding facilities and excellent educational experiences on offer to all our young people. I strongly encourage you to come and see us in action! Lindsay Hamilton Headteacher Friday Flyer![]()
Thank you to everyone at home for supporting our Red Nose Day, not only with your kind donations, but also for helping pupils to prepare some incredible bakes to sell. In total, after a quick count, we have raised over £500.00 which is brilliant and we’ll get that sent off next week. We’ve still got a few places left for our KS3 Careers Fayre in April and are looking for a wide range of work sectors to share with our pupils.

![]() E-safety is high on our agenda at school. We want children to be safe and responsible when they go online. Our Computing curriculum places emphasis on developing children's knowledge and skills to enable them to stay safe online. We would be happy to share any advice with you.
Parent Zone provides high quality information to parents and carers about their children's wellbeing and resilience. In line with CEOP’s Thinkuknow programme, some of the content covers internet safety, but it all starts from the assumption that young people make little distinction between their online and offline lives and the issues for parents are often the same. |
