Tesco Great School Run - a 2k fun run staged at schools across
the UK. The programme aims to encourage children, family, friends and teachers
to take part in exercise for fun, and to help make physical activity part of
each school’s and every family’s lifestyle.
The Tesco Great School Runis now in its 8th year and our aim
is to involve over 1 million children from all across the UK. With your help, we
can make this year the best yet!


As well as the run itself, we have a host of online resources for teachers to
use in their classrooms in the build up to the event including lesson plans,
games and short films featuring our ambassador Colin Jackson. These resources
are designed to encourage healthier lifestyles and a positive attitude towards
physical activity and are arranged into three key themes:

1. READY - the
   theme is motivation: how to get children enthused and kept on track


2. STEADY - the
   theme is nutrition: eating for energy and well-being


3. GO - the theme
   is active leisure: activity for health and fitness
